Reading over this again, I realise how awful my grammar is. In the second paragraph, the sentences are too monotonous. In the third, I totally change ideas in the middle of a sentence. I'm going to work on preserving continuity.

Underwood and the Golden Touch

I will now be adding a simple grading scale to all my posts about new typewriters. It will judge the touch, print quality, aesthetics, and condition of my example. It will be on a 1-6 scale with 6 being nearly unattainable perfection. My Underwood does suffer on the print quality scale, unfortunately.
[EDIT: I have decided against the grading system because I was not being very accurate at all, eventually lumping all the ratings around 5/6. Therefore all ratings are deleted.]

Typewriters in Seattle & Collected Summary of Collecting

These results show, considering they are about 2 years worth of continuous searching, that in the end it doesn't really matter where you look. You will find typewriters worth keeping in just about any venue as long as you keep at it long enough! Perhaps the antique store findings would be much higher if I had allowed myself a limit of, say, $50 instead of $30. But only slightly.
