Tacoma

I took all these photos on a lovely day in March, not too long before we left Tacoma.

I've created a blog entitled 40 months in Tacoma. On it I am uploading all sorts of photos I took during the time I lived there, some of which have been featured on x over it, but most haven't.

Five fingers

I'm not pretending I've come up with anything original or revolutionary here, but I think these are good things to keep in mind. I came up with them over a year ago and they still ring true. I could add more to the list, but I like it as is.

Us and them

from Estonian SSR to Estonia

I think Russians are seen as the oppressors and my "wanting the country to themselves" bit is not truly accurate. They don't want Estonia to themselves so much as they don't want to have to share it with historical oppressors, and are therefore oppressing people for what their ancestors and government did.

Out-of-Doors

Commemorating spending an afternoon outside with polaroids and a typecast? Shows how much things have changed since I was growing up.

Fraternal (Torpedo 18) Twins

1961 Torpedo 18b 1238654

1962 Torpedo 18a 1249029

Okay, okay. They're not twins. Not even fraternal twins. But I wanted to play on the title of this post about my other two Torpedoes. I've actually been living and doing things lately, hence why my posts are no longer uploaded at a manic pace! Though I feel like I'm getting a little out of practice on these double typewriter feature posts. Forgot to mention--I have the cream + brown Torpedo a soapy bath which seemed to help it a little, but not much. I also had to adjust the left margin and the margin release.

Typed with my two new Torpedo 18s.
