  1. What you have there is the twin to my favorite machine, Easy, in Director Elite. For $3, that's a smokin' deal! Your serial number seems to place it at 1964 as well. I think it will grow to become your favorite if you give it a chance (:

  2. That's a fabulous find Nick! $3 is a steal. I'm lucky with mine, it's 1961, where the db has the entire range of numbers. I suspect the ones after that give the ending numbers, so is this maybe a 65?

  7. Oh lucky lad! Lucky, lucky, lucky. I can't believe you hesitated in the shop. Hope you have fun with it and a great trip, meanwhile I'll just keep on pining for an "H3K" as Rino puts it.

  9. Ted ~ Director Elite is 12 cpi in the NOMDA book made the same years as my Hermes, incidentally... I don't think it's Director Elite.

Notagain ~ It is such a steal and i know it! Seems like that 13 cpi type is more common on Rockets as I know somebody else who has a Rocket with one.

rino breebaart ~ Well, it needed some work--but you're probably right!

Rob Bowker ~ I hesitated from excitement and anticipation!

  10. I really dig your blog. Your work was instrumental in helping me begin my collection this weekend. It's a modest start--a Sears Electric 2 and an amazing Hermes Rocket--, but it's a start!
