He Whose Name Must Never Be Mentioned

TYPEWRITER DAY 2013
1949/50 Smith-Corona 4AR15827
"He Whose Name Must Never Be Mentioned"

Composed with my new Smith-Corona, unanimously elected leader of the local division of the insurgency, which is not organized top down, but contrarily on a local basis with no administrative connection whatsoever to any claimed central power.

Soon after this typecast I heard an explosion in the near distance. Remember, I live right downtown in a city.

His serial number cannot be found in the Typewriter Database, and I guess he is from 1949/50. For now I will call him a Smith-Corona 4AR, just like we call the Electric a 5TE.

Carbon Ribbon 3000 / Ravishingly Red Royal

Hermes 3000s look almost as ungainly and cute skinned as they do whole.

I suggest that from now on everybody does their type samples according to keyboard layout.

(That title was contributed by the Royal...I really don't know. These Royals are so vain!)

As a sidenote, I will no longer be grading new typewriters. The numbers I was coming up with had no relevance, they were always clustering around 5 and that doesn't really give an accurate view of a typewriter if all of them are approximately 5 out of 6!

Sent from my Hermes 3000 and a mystery pica donor.

Perhaps a Flat Typewriter / Thirteen Thoughtful Thinkers

1963 Olympia SF B 617738

I kind of wanted to get the new Olympias out of the way. That's done now.

Queerly pushed onto paper by an Olympia SF.
