Making the most of the Triumph/Adler

I fear this isn't quite as useful as the BBC's excellent program Making the Most of the Micro, though.

I've created a new header, change the blue to orange, and also officially made the title all with small letters. I've been getting more and more spam comments that I've had to filter out, so I may have to start using captchas but I'm going to hold out against doing so as long as I can.

[EDIT] I have changed the settings to only accept comments from non-anonymous users.

My camera has a high speed (120fps) setting, although the resolution is limited. Enjoy these slow motion videos of me typing on my Hermes 3000, Olivetti Valentine, Remington Noiseless, Remington Portable 2, Torpedo 18, and Triumph Norm.

It is said that the Torpedo is one of the fastest typewriters. I think that the footage backs this claim up because the typebars seem to be a bit snappier than on the other typewriters! (or am I just wishing?)

(Alas, I had no clever title this time.)

A separate but somewhat related piece of information is that one can restore a bit of the shine back to Bakelite like this by wiping some light oil on the surface (from Richard Polt) and I also found out independently when cleaning up my Triumph De Jur Perfekt that a little light oil will help restore the richness of the colour of the brown keys on those models (they have a tendency to fade).
