That's cool. Broadway was laid out to be no steeper than a dray horse could manage with a load. I too am surprised a bus got stuck. They must not have de-iced it.
They salted the upwards-side of the street before it snowed, but I don't remember if it was last night or during the day on Friday.
Yeah snow is normal here in Chiberia. But Tacoma? I can just imagine.
At least the weather contributed to some great photos. :)

Those are some nice photos. I've always enjoyed walking in the snow. Can't say the same for rain.Interesting that in a city covered with snow the bus did not have chains or sanders or other traction device.
I thought the same—surely they could have had a bag of sand in the back of the bus. That's all it took to get it moving again.But people here are 100% unprepared when it snows, and it snows once every year. XD
