Odd Consul

1966 Consul 1532 6 231 059330

Prepared for digital publication on my Consul 1532.

If you do a simple Google Images search, for Consul 1532, all the pictures that show up are of this actual machine. I haven't been able to find another one like this by that method. On oz.Typewriter there can be found a photo of an older uncommon design that looks somewhat like this but is different.

  2. Very nice! It has a very "ice queen/space 1999" vibe to it that I like, and looks a bit like a more streamlined and compact Remington Ten-Fourty. An important contribution to the database! (:

    1. It would definitely be very much at home in 60s and 70s depictions of the future. In the 2000s when we all still use manual typewriters! And we do. :D

  3. I have got a similar one, same shape but without the decimal tabulator. I will check.

  4. I don't think I've ever met an elite underwood.

    1. I haven't either. But they exist. Even in the special 50s Underwood typeface, which also came in elite.

Now I want to look at all the pictures of Underwoods I can find online and see if they have elite or pica spacing.....
