1919 L C Smith No 8 Video

click to play
I've long since sold this L C Smith, but I made this video about two years ago to remember it by using all the wonderful video skills I learnt in my videojournalism class. This is the first time I've actually shown it.

In other news, I'm starting work on a Centralised Typewriter Repair Resource (the fancy name which I have given it for now that will likely be scrapped for something very, very catchy) which can be seen on Welcome to the Typosphere.

Corona Four / Obsolete Communication Forms

1925 Corona Four H608372

When mentioning the pinnacle of 1930s portable typewriter designs, I am not including all European designs since I've only had the chance to use an Olympia. I understand that Triumph or Continental might be the winner.

Typosphere III (Poster 4)

Typosphere III featuring Facit 1620

I'm not sure what images this conjures in my mind. I'm thinking of both evil computers and green monsters?

Typosphere III featuring Imperial De Luxe 5
Seems like this is a bit of a thing for me now. It's a lot of fun and good practice.

Typosphere III (Poster 1)

Typosphere III featuring Hermes 2000

The third year of Philosophothought and the typosphere proper deserves a poster, I should say.
My design, hereby released to everybody for free to use and abuse, etc.

Typosphere-derived words / Ned the typewriter dog

Typed on my Torpedo 18 with Ned the black lab.

Usually you see typewriter cats. Not here I'm afraid, even though I love cats.

I add typospherical to the list, a pretty obvious one.
