I rather like the gentle curves of this machine. It appeals greatly to me. And with the case closed that delicate yellow line really gives it something. Great find. What does the fox say?
It's interesting how little it resembles a typewriter in some ways. It's too bad these don't have as much exposure and aren't found in nicer colors more often because they're up there with the Valentine in some ways.
I'm guessing that an actual secret agent would have had a gray version, as you suggest. The yellow one was probably a gift to his girlfriend. Who, of course, was likely a double agent. Watch out for traces of cutaneous-contact poison on the keys.
Nice! This typewriter embodies the most optimistic and creative side ofthe 1970s. That is one of the most attractive sans-serif typefaces I've seen.
ReplyDeleteIt really does. It's certainly one of the few typewriters I could call "optimistic". But it just is!
DeleteWow, that is a handsome case.
ReplyDeleteVery nice looking typewriter and typeface. First time I've heard of a Privileg.

DeleteAll in good time.
