Great looking muscle machine with those gull wing doors. I have to say is my "nicer" condition machines sparkled like this one, I'd be a happy chap. The usual slope for an italic, especially a word processor sloped roman "italics" is about 12 degrees from the vertical.
I compared the Voss's italic with other typewriter italics as well as that of Helvetica, Garamond, and Univers and the Voss and Garamond are decidedly the most sloped.
I agree with previous - it is very attractive. I especially like the contoured sides of the machine - the ends of the carriage and the return lever are nicely sculpted.
I dunno if I'll ever get a chance to own a Voss, but they sure are attractive machines (:
ReplyDeleteGreat typeface too!
My first one was found for $1 in a yard sale, you never know!
Deleteaww, smokin' deal :D
DeleteGawd that machine is a whole bunch of sexy!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite models, for sure.

DeleteWhat a cool looking typewriter! The white typewriter looks best against the dark desk top. Thanks again for the nice photography.
