By right, a Triumph

1956 Triumph De Jur 985989

Typed on my new Triumph De Jur / De Jur Triumph

Apologies for the ugly pictures that will grace my blog for a spell. I don't have access to a very good camera any more.

  1. I just eyed one of these off on ebay. I was wondering what they were like to type on, and now I know!

Mind you, the extra keys on this guy are very interesting. And what happened to your camera?

    1. I used to use my parents camera, but as I've been moved out for quite some time, I just have a cheap Sony Cyber-Shot that has trouble with making a picture look good. I got it on clearance for $10, though.

  2. Yes, I use Safari 5.1.9, you little snoop! ;)

That's a great-looking typewriter despite the color, and sure puts out nice work. I would think the keys to control the Stenorette would be pretty handy for a secretary, but maybe not. I must try one of these sometime.

    1. I think I'm going to type on your Olivetti Graphika tonight. :p

I wish I've used an Adler before to compare them myself.
And now that you mention it, it does print extremely well.

  3. That Triumph looks like a mighty powerful typewriter. It must be nice to have one of those and a place to keep and use it.

All I use is a cheap 3Mp camera I bought off of Craigslist since the camera had super macro and used plain AA batteries. Plenty good enough for blogging and general on-line use.

    1. It's one of those typewriters that is just so massive...it's just so large compared to portables!

My camera could be better than it is. It may actually be somewhat defective, though I couldn't really say.
