Yeah, I've noticed that the local craigslist is starting to get stupid expensive in the past year. Hardly anything under $100, and quite a lot of this sort of silliness.Bargains can still be had at the Thrift stores, though, if you're patient and persistent. (:
Amazingly here even craigslist has better deals than the yard sales sometimes. I was going to go for one until I found one I liked more yesterday! From what I understand the Goodwill outlet here is legendary. I just haven't made it there at the right time yet!
That's quite a wall of typewriters! An exciting sight.I have inside info about one that you selected (good choice). My guess on the other: hmmm ... do you have a Lettera 22 yet?
I do have a Lettera 22--you might have missed my blog post about it a few days ago :pAnyway, it sadly was without its case though it was in nicer condition than mine. There also was a nice Olivetti Underwood 21 there for only $35 but it would have been my 3rd choice.
I've been there not long ago. It's an impressive sight. I think perhaps that one with the gold face and the one next to the Empress? Unless you are into big Royals of a sudden in which case the FP & Empress. Can't wait for the reveal though.
You are too good at guessing, haha.
Which two, which two? Probably the Oliver would be the one over your budget. And the other one, ehm, the Tippa, the one two rows under the Tippa or the Royal next to the Oliver?
The Oliver was over my budget, but there wasn't a Tippa so I can't be completely sure which one you are referring to.Also, I never buy standards. Except for when I do, but then later regret it. XD (I do not regret this purchase)
